A deadly exchange of fire between security forces and armed assailants in Khuzdar has resulted in the martyrdom of two police personnel, including a female constable, officials confirmed. The incident has once again highlighted the continuing security challenges in parts of Balochistan.

According to official sources, the clash occurred when police personnel engaged “miscreant elements” during an operation in the area. During the intense exchange of fire, Lady Constable Malak Naz and Head Constable Samiullah were martyred while performing their duties.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to the fallen officers, stating that Constable Malak Naz demonstrated exceptional courage and set a historic example of bravery in the fight against terrorism. He noted that she is the first female police officer in the province to embrace martyrdom in such an operation.

The chief minister further revealed that Malak Naz’s husband, Abdul Ghani, had also previously sacrificed his life in the line of duty, describing her family’s contribution as an extraordinary example of patriotism and resilience. He termed her sacrifice “great and unforgettable.”

He assured that the provincial government stands firmly with the families of the martyrs in this difficult time and will provide full support for their children and dependents.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the sacrifices of security personnel are the nation’s most valuable asset and will never be forgotten. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing efforts against terrorism and restoring peace in the region.

Security forces have launched further investigations and search operations in the area to trace those responsible for the attack. Authorities say efforts are ongoing to eliminate the presence of armed groups involved in such incidents and to ensure accountability.
