Officials detected the drone as it entered Pakistani airspace. Security personnel immediately responded and neutralised the device. The incident occurred without any reported casualties.

Sources stated the drone appeared to be for surveillance, as no explosives were found onboard. Intelligence agencies swiftly secured the wreckage and began a detailed investigation. The presence of the drone raised concerns over ongoing regional security. Authorities have not yet shared further technical details.

This incident follows a major military confrontation between Pakistan and India in May 2025. The conflict began after an attack in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India blamed Pakistan, sparking retaliatory military actions from both sides. However, tensions eased after a ceasefire was reached.

During the conflict, Pakistan launched ‘Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos’, targeting Indian military positions across various areas. Pakistan claimed to have downed six Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, and dozens of drones. The operation reportedly lasted nearly 87 hours. It ended after diplomatic intervention.

The United States brokered the ceasefire on May 10, ending hostilities between the two nuclear-armed nations. President Donald Trump announced the deal on social media. While India disputed Trump’s role in the agreement, Pakistan praised the US mediation. Talks followed to maintain regional stability.
