Missing Husband Found After Seven Years Through Instagram Reel

A bizarre incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district has gone viral on social media after a woman discovered her missing husband through an Instagram reel.

According to Indian media, Jitendra Kumar married a woman named Sheelu in 2017. Shortly after their marriage, the couple had a son. Reports suggest that Jitendra and his family harassed Sheelu for dowry, demanding a gold chain and other items.

In 2018, Jitendra suddenly disappeared. A missing person’s report was filed in April that year, and despite extensive searches, there was no trace of him. During this time, his family accused Sheelu’s relatives of killing him, forcing her to live with her child at her parents’ home.

However, the case took an unexpected turn recently. While scrolling on Instagram, Sheelu came across a reel in which she recognised her husband Jitendra, appearing in Ludhiana alongside another woman.

Sheelu has now claimed that Jitendra remarried and has been living with his second wife all this time. She also alleged that his family was aware of the situation but chose to keep it hidden.

Police confirmed that Jitendra left home without informing anyone a year after his marriage, and a missing FIR had been registered. Following Sheelu’s fresh complaint after spotting him online, police have reopened the case and begun investigations.
