Naveed Kamran Baloch took oath as the 9th Wafaqi Mohtasib of Pakistan on Wednesday. The ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath of office. Baloch will serve a four-year term in this position.

Naveed Kamran Baloch brings extensive experience in administrative and executive affairs. He previously served as Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and as Federal Secretary. He was also Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Sindh. These roles gave him deep insight into governance and public administration.

Following the ceremony, Baloch met with President Zardari to discuss his new responsibilities. They talked about improving federal institutions’ responsiveness to citizens. The meeting emphasized accountability and strengthening government mechanisms for public service.

The president instructed Baloch to focus on enhancing citizens’ access to justice. He also asked him to improve the efficiency of case disposal. Strengthening mechanisms for timely grievance redressal was highlighted as a top priority.

Naveed Kamran Baloch expressed commitment to transparency and fairness in his role. He pledged to make the Federal Ombudsman office more effective. Citizens can expect quicker and more accessible complaint resolution under his leadership.
