Pakistan Army Dominates National Games With 71 Gold Medals

The 35th National Games are currently underway in Karachi, and the competition for medals among athletes is intense. So far, the Pakistan Army has won 71 gold medals, further strengthening their lead in the tournament. This performance clearly shows how Pakistan Army dominates National Games across multiple sports.

On Tuesday, several track and field events concluded with more gold medals awarded. In the women’s javelin throw, WAPDA’s Fatima Hussain secured gold with a throw of 42.38 meters. In the women’s discus throw, Pakistan Army’s Faryal Farooq won gold with a record throw of 38.21 meters, while WAPDA’s Ishrat Fatima took silver and HEC’s Khadija claimed bronze.

In other track events, Faiqa Riaz won her second gold medal in the women’s 200-meter race, and WAPDA’s Arm Shehzadi finished first in the 800-meter run. WAPDA’s Musarrat Shaheen secured gold in the 400-meter hurdles for women, while Muhammad Naeem of the Army won the men’s 110-meter hurdles.

Additional events included the 20 km race walk, won by Army’s Qasim Faiz; the 5 km women’s race walk, won by WAPDA’s Amara; men’s pole vault, won by Army’s Asif; and triple jump, won by HEC’s Imtiaz Rehman. In the men’s 800-meter race, Army’s Waqas Akbar claimed gold. Weightlifting events also started, with Army and WAPDA athletes winning gold in multiple categories.

In fencing, HEC earned another gold medal when Kareema Parveen defeated her teammate Faryal Shahid 15-13 in the women’s category. Overall, the results of the 35th National Games clearly demonstrate how Pakistan Army dominates National Games, maintaining their top position across a wide range of sports.
