Pakistan, India DGMOs to Resume Communication Today in Bid to Ease Tensions

ISLAMABAD – The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from Pakistan and India are scheduled to hold a fresh round of communication today (Sunday) in a renewed effort to reduce tensions along the border and foster stability in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, during a televised interview, confirmed that Pakistan remains committed to peace and is willing to engage in dialogue to resolve issues through diplomatic and military channels.
Dar revealed that both countries had agreed during discussions on Thursday to extend the current ceasefire agreement until Sunday, highlighting a shared interest in maintaining calm.
“Several DGMO-level talks have already taken place. The next phase would be formal negotiations, and Pakistan is ready to move forward in that direction,” he stated.
