Pakistan announced a 15-member squad for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2024 on Tuesday. The event will be held in Dubai from December 12 to 21. Young batter Farhan Yousuf will lead the team in the tournament. Pakistan has been placed in Group A with India, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3. The squad begins its training camp in Karachi today.

The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed Farhan Yousuf as captain for the event. Usman Khan has been appointed vice-captain. Former national captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will serve as team manager. The squad includes several promising young players. Coaches hope this lineup will perform strongly in Dubai.

The team features Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hassan Baloch, Ali Raza, and Daniyal Ali Khan. It also includes Hamza Zahoor, Huzaifa Ahsan, Moman Qamar, Muhammad Huzaifa, Muhammad Sayyam, and Muhammad Shayan. Niqab Shafiq and Sameer Minhas complete the squad list. Players will work on fitness and teamwork during the Karachi camp. The management aims to build depth in every department.

Pakistan will play three group matches in the Asia Cup. Their opening match is on December 12 against Qualifier 3 at the Sevens Stadium. The second match is on December 14 against India at the ICC Academy. Pakistan will face Qualifier 1 on December 16 in their final group game. The top teams will move to the knockout stage.

The semi-final is scheduled for December 19, followed by the final on December 21. Training in Karachi will focus on strategy and match preparation. Coaches aim to sharpen skills before the high-pressure games. Special attention will be given to the clash against India. The squad hopes to deliver a strong performance in Dubai.
