Pakistan rejects Indian media’s false claims on Shaheen Missile use

Author Avatar Web Desk | 4 weeks ago
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly rejected Indian media reports alleging the use of Shaheen missiles, calling them baseless and fabricated.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Indian military itself removed the video once the claim was proven false, yet Indian media continued to spread the misleading narrative. Notably, the Indian Army has issued no clarification or denial regarding the video.

The spokesperson stated that this misinformation campaign is an attempt to divert attention from India’s failure in “Operation Sandhoor”, and is part of a broader strategy of false narratives related to ceasefire violations and nuclear blackmail.

He further clarified that the ISPR’s official press release on May 12 clearly listed the weapons used by Pakistan, which included Fatah-1 and Fatah-2 missiles, advanced drones, and long-range artillery — not the Shaheen missile.

The Foreign Office warned that such provocative and unfounded claims are a threat to regional peace and stability.
