Pakistan win final of Baba Guru Nanak International Kabaddi Tournament

Lahore: Pakistan emerged victorious in the final of the tri-nation Baba Guru Nanak International Kabaddi Tournament, defeating Iran in an intense showdown held at WAPDA Sports Complex, Ferozepur Road.

Originally, India was scheduled to play the final, but withdrew due to injuries to key players. This led to a head-to-head final between Pakistan and Iran, drawing a large crowd of kabaddi enthusiasts who gathered to witness the action-packed match.

The event’s chief guest, Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce and President of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, presented the trophy to the winning team’s captain.

Prize Money Distribution:

Champion (Pakistan): PKR 2 million

Runner-up (Iran): PKR 1.5 million

Third place: PKR 1 million

The tournament featured teams from Pakistan, Iran, and India, with the host nation remaining unbeaten throughout the competition, reaffirming its dominance in the sport.
