Speaking via video link from New York after his UN address, he chaired a key meeting to review the situation. Senior officials, including Chief Secretaries and the NDMA Chairman, joined the session. The NDMA briefed the meeting, reporting that over 350,000 people have returned home from relief camps. However, several families in Sindh still live in temporary shelters. Officials added that floodwaters are now receding quickly, allowing more returns soon. Relief efforts are ongoing, with rations and supplies being delivered. The Punjab government received praise for its swift rehabilitation work.
Focus also shifted to the agricultural sector, where crops suffered heavy damage. The Prime Minister ordered a detailed damage report within one week. Relief and recovery must continue without delay to ease the suffering of flood victims.
