Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is visiting Qatar today to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha. The summit was urgently called after Israel launched an airstrike on the Qatari capital. Leaders from the Islamic world will discuss a joint response to Israel’s recent military actions. The situation in Gaza and the West Bank has also raised serious concern. Pakistan is one of the co-sponsors of the summit.

The summit aims to address the growing crisis in Palestine and Israel’s aggression in the region. This includes the airstrike on Doha, settlement expansion in the West Bank, and displacement of Palestinians. Member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will take part. Heads of state, government officials, and foreign ministers are attending the high-level meeting. The summit follows a foreign ministers’ meeting held on Sunday.

Pakistan has firmly condemned the Israeli airstrike on Doha. Officials stated that the attack violates Qatar’s sovereignty and threatens regional peace. Pakistan also criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank. The government reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian people. It called for an immediate end to the violence and occupation.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha on September 11. During the visit, he met Qatari leaders to show Pakistan’s support. He expressed solidarity with Qatar and stressed the need for unity among Muslim countries. Shehbaz highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to peace, security, and regional stability. His visit was seen as a strong diplomatic gesture.

Now, with tensions rising, the summit in Doha carries global importance. Leaders are expected to call for urgent international action. The focus will be on ending Israeli aggression and protecting Palestinian rights. The world watches as Islamic nations unite in response. Pakistan’s role in the summit highlights its active stance on the crisis.
