PPP Stages Major Rally in Hyderabad Against Canal Construction on Indus River

Hyderabad – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is set to hold a large-scale public rally in Hyderabad today (Friday) to voice strong opposition to constructing canals on the Indus River.

Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other senior PPP leaders will address the gathering and highlight concerns over what the party describes as a critical threat to Sindh’s water rights and agricultural future.

A massive 120-foot-wide and 28-foot-long stage has been erected to accommodate the party leadership, while over 70,000 chairs have been arranged for attendees. The venue has been decorated with PPP flags, banners, and portraits of key leaders, creating a vibrant and charged atmosphere.

To ensure public safety, authorities have implemented comprehensive security and traffic plans. A special parking arrangement has also been made to manage the large influx of supporters expected from across the province.
