Preparations for a PSL franchise 10-year agreement are now in the final stages. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, has instructed that the new deals with PSL franchises should be completed as soon as possible. This step is part of the board’s plan to secure the future of the league and increase the market value of its teams.

Representatives from the chartered firm responsible for PSL’s valuation recently met with PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The meeting included PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and Chief Operating Officer Sameer Syed. During the discussion, the valuation firm presented its report on the current worth of the PSL franchises.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi asked several questions about the valuation report and directed the firm to meet with all franchise owners. The goal is to ensure that every team’s input is considered before finalizing the new agreements.

The new PSL agreements will be based on the valuation report, and each franchise’s updated market value will be set accordingly. This approach aims to make the league more transparent and commercially stronger, benefiting both the board and the team owners.
