LAHORE – Punjab’s government has launched its first-ever initiative to provide quality, affordable goods through home delivery. This project, which aims to offer convenience and savings, is currently being carried out in 46 Sasta (Facilitation) Bazaars across 35 cities in the province.
Since its inception, over 312,000 orders have been successfully delivered to households. The Punjab Sasta Bazaar Authority is facilitating free home delivery of 13 essential food items through the initiative. These items include staples such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and wheat flour, among others.
The project offers a significant price reduction. The 13 food items are available at rates up to 7% lower than the official DC-notified prices. Citizens can save money while receiving high-quality goods directly to their doorsteps. The service is also completely free of charge.
Customers can easily place their orders through the free home delivery app, available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app allows people to place orders for essential food items, including garlic, apples, bananas, and pulses. The home delivery service is quick, with riders delivering items directly to customers.

The success of the project is evident, with citizens saving Rs 110 million collectively. This is a direct result of purchasing items at discounted rates and taking advantage of free delivery. Many residents have expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, calling it an unprecedented move by the government.
Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has praised the initiative, saying that the government is committed to preventing inflation from affecting the public. She also announced plans to expand the service to other cities across Punjab in phases, ensuring more people can benefit from the scheme.
The free home delivery project is seen as a significant step towards making essential goods more accessible and affordable for the people of Punjab. With this initiative, the government is aiming to ease the burden on families, especially in times of economic uncertainty.
