Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is celebrating its 95th National Day today, 23 September, with patriotic fervour and nationwide festivities. The day commemorates the unification of the kingdom in 1932 under the leadership of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.

Across the Kingdom, from Riyadh to Jeddah, Dammam and other cities, streets, markets, and public spaces have been decorated with national flags and illuminated with green lights, symbolising the colours of Saudi Arabia.

Citizens are proudly displaying the Saudi flag on homes and vehicles, while cultural programs and entertainment activities are being held for the public.

In Riyadh, the central celebration featured a grand military parade, a spectacular fireworks display, traditional dances, and cultural performances that drew large crowds. The Saudi leadership also extended congratulatory messages to the nation, highlighting unity, pride, and continued progress.

On the occasion, a public holiday was observed across the Kingdom, giving families the chance to participate in the celebrations. Entertainment zones, cultural shows, and recreational activities were organised to ensure inclusive participation.

World leaders also joined in extending their greetings. Heads of state from Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait conveyed warm messages to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing best wishes for their health and for the prosperity of the Saudi people.
