Shahid Afridi Reply About Entering Politics

London: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Khan Afridi, popularly known as Lala, once again left his fans wondering about his political future after giving an ambiguous reply to a question regarding joining politics.

While speaking to journalists in London, Afridi said, “I don’t want to enter politics; please pray that I remain firm on this decision.”

He revealed that about six years ago, he was ready to join a political party, but certain developments at that time changed his mind about politics.

“Politics isn’t my cup of tea, and I have no desire to be part of it,” Afridi added.

Responding humorously, Afridi told reporters to “pray that Allah keeps me firm on not entering politics — that’s my decision, but Allah knows best what the future holds.”

During the same interaction, when asked about Imran Khan, Afridi responded by saying “Pakistan Zindabad”, while he also praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her performance.

It is noteworthy that this conversation took place a few days ago during Afridi’s visit to London.
