Sindh High Court Issues Notices on Petition to Remove Governor
The Sindh High Court’s constitutional bench has issued notices to the Advocate General Sindh and Attorney General of Pakistan. The notices were issued on a petition seeking the removal of the Sindh Governor.

During the hearing, Justice Adnan-ul-Karim Memon asked whether the court even had the authority to remove a governor from office. The judge questioned the legal basis for such a request.

Petitioner Ahmed Ali Gabol Advocate argued that the President of Pakistan was made a party to the petition. He insisted that the court could direct the President on this matter.

Justice Memon further inquired why the governor should be removed. The court stressed the importance of clear reasoning behind such a serious demand.

The petitioner’s lawyer claimed that the governor was acting in favour of a political party. He argued that the governor’s role was meant to remain neutral as a federal representative.

Finally, the court issued notices to the Advocate General Sindh and Attorney General of Pakistan. Both parties were asked to submit their replies by 8 October.
