Slight Reduction in Petrol Prices Expected from September 1

Islamabad: A slight decrease in petroleum product prices is expected from September 1. According to sources, OGRA has completed its working and will send it to the Finance Division through the Ministry of Petroleum.
Reports suggest that petrol prices may be reduced by 61 paisas per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel is expected to drop by Rs3.13 per litre.
The price of kerosene may also fall by Rs1.57 per litre. In addition, light diesel oil is likely to see a reduction of Rs2.61 per litre.
Sources added that the Ministry of Finance will issue an official notification after consultation with the Prime Minister. The revised prices will remain effective for the next 15 days.
If approved, this reduction will provide slight relief to consumers. However, experts believe that fluctuations in global oil markets could bring further changes in prices in the coming weeks.
