South Africa defeated Pakistan by 25 runs in the second ODI at Lahore, taking an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series. Pakistan fell short while chasing a tough DLS target of 313 in 46 overs. Despite a brilliant 122 from Sidra Amin, the home team was bowled out for 287 in 44.4 overs. Sidra shared a 146-run fourth-wicket stand with Natalia Pervaiz, who scored a solid 73. But after Sidra’s dismissal, Pakistan collapsed quickly and lost their final seven wickets for just 40 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana chose to bowl first after rain reduced the match to 46 overs per side. South Africa took full advantage and posted a big total of 292 for 3. Openers Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt gave their team a flying start. Together, they added a massive 260-run opening stand. Wolvaardt scored 100 before falling in the 44th over to Diana Baig. However, Brits stayed unbeaten and played a stunning knock.

Tazmin Brits was the star for South Africa with an unbeaten 171 from 141 balls. Her innings included 20 fours and four sixes. She was named Player of the Match for her match-winning performance. South Africa’s innings slowed briefly after Wolvaardt’s dismissal, but Brits ensured a strong finish. Diana Baig was the only bowler to shine for Pakistan, taking two wickets for 45 runs in her five overs.

In reply, Pakistan showed some fight with a strong middle-order stand. Sidra Amin continued her good form, hitting her second straight century in the series. Natalia supported her well, keeping Pakistan in the game until the 38th over. However, after Sidra got out, South Africa’s bowlers quickly turned the tide. Nadine de Klerk took three wickets, while Kapp and Tryon picked up two each to seal the win.

With this win, South Africa now lead the three-match series 2–0. The third and final ODI will be played on Monday in Lahore. Pakistan will aim to salvage pride and avoid a whitewash. South Africa, meanwhile, will look to complete a clean sweep. The visitors have dominated both matches with strong batting and disciplined bowling.
