UN Declares United States the World’s Largest Aid Donor

The United Nations has declared the United States as the world’s largest humanitarian aid donor this year. According to the UN, the US provided the highest financial support among all countries, making it the leader in the world’s top humanitarian donor ranking.
The data was shared by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA). The report shows that the United States donated 3.57 billion dollars in humanitarian aid, which makes up 14.9% of the total global assistance provided this year.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) also made a significant contribution by giving 1.46 billion dollars in humanitarian aid. According to UN records, this amount equals 7.1% of the total global humanitarian support.
The overall global humanitarian aid reached 20.5 billion dollars. In this total, the United States ranked first, while the European Union came in second place with its major contributions.

Media reports state that Palestine received the largest share of global aid at 44%. Sudan received 600 million dollars due to its crisis, and emergency assistance was also sent to earthquake victims in Afghanistan, showing the global importance of the world’s top humanitarian donor ranking.
