United States Warns Against Recognising Palestinian State
The United States has warned countries against recognising Palestine as a state. Washington said such a move would increase tensions and trigger serious reactions. American officials stressed that recognition would harm stability in the Middle East. They urged nations to reconsider their approach.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio criticised France and other nations moving towards recognition. He warned that Israel could annex parts of the West Bank in response. According to him, recognition would only complicate the situation further. He described these discussions as unrealistic and misleading.

Speaking to media in Ecuador, Rubio said Washington has made its position clear to all governments. He argued that recognising Palestine would not bring peace but create larger problems. He emphasised that America stands firmly against such steps. His remarks reflected growing US concern.

He also warned that recognition would make a ceasefire in Gaza harder to achieve. He added that military operations in Gaza could intensify. This, he said, would worsen humanitarian suffering in the region. His comments highlighted the risks of hasty political decisions.

Meanwhile, Britain, France and other European states have expressed support for Palestinian recognition at the UN General Assembly. In reaction, Israel’s finance minister called for annexing parts of the West Bank. However, the United Arab Emirates cautioned Israel that any annexation would be a red line.
