X (Formerly Twitter) Faces Service Disruptions in Pakistan Due to Data Center Outage

Users of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, in Pakistan have reported disruptions affecting various services over the weekend. According to a real-time monitoring system, the platform received approximately 600 complaints on Saturday alone.
In an official statement, X acknowledged ongoing issues linked to a data centre outage that began on Friday. The company’s engineering team reported that some users were unable to log in or sign up, and others experienced delays in notifications and premium features.
“We’re still experiencing issues from yesterday’s data centre outage. Login and signup services are unavailable for some users, and there may be delays in notifications and premium features,” X’s engineering department said in a statement released at 5 AM PKT. The company assured users that its team is working around the clock to resolve the problems and promised to provide updates soon.
Earlier, on Friday, X had confirmed the data centre outage and said that its technical team was actively working to fix the issue. Despite this, some users speculated that a fire might have broken out at X’s data centre located in Oregon, USA, though no official confirmation has been given regarding any such incident.
When contacted, X declined to comment on the speculations reported by media outlets, leaving uncertainty about the full extent of the disruption.
