South Africa Beat Pakistan in the First T20 by 55 Runs

In Rawalpindi, South Africa beat Pakistan in the first T20 of the three-match series by 55 runs to take a 1–0 lead. South Africa gave Pakistan a target of 195 runs, but the home team was all out for 139 in the 19th over. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first in this exciting opening match.
South Africa’s batting lineup performed strongly, scoring 194 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Reeza Hendricks top-scored with 60 runs, while George Linde made 36 and Tony de Zorzi added 33 runs. Their steady partnerships helped South Africa post a solid total despite some good bowling from Pakistan.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz took 3 wickets, Saim Ayub claimed 2, and Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Abrar Ahmed took one wicket each. The bowlers showed good effort in the middle overs but could not stop South Africa from reaching a challenging total.
During the chase, Saim Ayub scored 37 and Mohammad Nawaz added 36 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan made 24. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled against tight bowling. Captain Salman Ali Agha scored only 2 runs, and star batter Babar Azam was dismissed without scoring. Corbin Bosch took 4 wickets for South Africa, George Linde 3, and Lizaad Williams 2.

As part of the breast cancer awareness campaign, the Pakistan team wore special pink kits, while South African players and officials wore pink ribbons. South Africa beat Pakistan in the first T20 not only marked an impressive victory for the visitors but also carried a positive message of health awareness and solidarity.
