Security at the Lahore High Court (LHC) has been significantly strengthened following directives issued by Chief Justice Ms. Alia Neelum.

The Chief Justice ordered measures to ensure a completely secure environment within the court premises, focusing on discipline and vigilance.

As part of the directives, mobile phones have been banned for police personnel during duty hours. Officers must deposit phones with supervisors before starting work.

This decision comes after incidents of negligence were reported due to on-duty staff using social media apps, including TikTok, which posed security risks.

Lawyers visiting the court have expressed full support for the new security measures, acknowledging their importance in maintaining safety and order.

Additional police personnel have been deployed at all gates and entry points. Authorities confirmed the measures will continue to protect the court’s dignity and lawfulness.
