PTI Karachi Rally Awaits Approval Amid Security Clearance

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf public meeting planned in Karachi faces security clearance requirements. The rally is scheduled at Bagh-e-Jinnah. Authorities have made approval subject to safety arrangements. Therefore, PTI awaits official permission.

Meanwhile, PTI has completed required financial formalities for the rally. The party submitted pay orders totaling Rs 2.5 million. This amount includes rally fees and a security deposit. Officials confirmed receipt of the payment.

Specifically, PTI paid Rs 2 million as the rally fee. Additionally, the party deposited Rs 500,000 as security. However, written approval from the district administration is still pending. As a result, final arrangements remain uncertain.

Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah commented on the situation. He said political activity is a democratic right. He added that peaceful rallies cannot be stopped. Therefore, permission should follow legal procedures.

Moreover, Nasir Hussain Shah said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi can hold political events. He stressed that lawful political struggle must continue. He emphasized respect for democratic norms. Thus, authorities aim to balance safety and rights.

Meanwhile, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon addressed security concerns. He assured full security and protocol for the visiting chief minister. He said the government will ensure safety. Consequently, security agencies remain alert.

However, Sharjeel Memon warned against public inconvenience during the rally. He said no unlawful actions will be allowed. He added that taking the law into one’s hands is unacceptable. Therefore, authorities will enforce strict discipline.
