Alyssa Healy Retires from International Cricket After 15 Years

SYDNEY – Australian women’s cricketer Alyssa Healy has announced her retirement from international cricket after a career spanning 15 years. She will step away after the upcoming series against India.
Healy confirmed she will not play in the T20I side but will feature in her final One Day International and Test matches at home. Cricket Australia officially confirmed the news.
The 35-year-old made her international debut in 2010. Over her career, she played 295 matches and scored more than 7,000 runs across formats.
Behind the stumps, Healy was involved in 275 dismissals. She also took over full-time captaincy duties in 2023 and led with distinction.

She was part of eight ICC World Cup-winning squads. Healy is widely regarded as one of the finest batters and wicketkeepers in women’s cricket.
Speaking about her decision, Healy said she retired with mixed emotions. She expressed a continued desire to represent Australia but felt it was the right time to step away.
Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg praised her outstanding service. He said Healy’s achievements during the India series will be celebrated throughout the tour.
