US Deploys Largest Naval Fleet in Middle East to Pressure Iran

Washington: The United States has announced the deployment of its largest US naval fleet in the Middle East to increase pressure on Iran over its nuclear program. President Donald Trump said a second aircraft carrier will join the already deployed naval forces, signaling strong US military presence in the region. The move comes amid growing tensions over Iran’s nuclear activities and ongoing diplomatic negotiations.
Speaking from a military base in North Carolina, President Trump stated that the deployment of the additional aircraft carrier is necessary if Iran fails to comply with nuclear agreements. He emphasized that the US is prepared to take strong action to maintain regional security and protect its interests.
According to international media reports, the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, will be sent from the Caribbean to join the existing US naval forces in the Middle East. The fleet will operate alongside the USS Abraham Lincoln and guided missile destroyers, which have already been deployed in the region for the past two weeks.

President Trump made the announcement following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The US administration emphasized that the deployment is a defensive measure but warned Iran that failure to comply with international agreements could lead to severe consequences.
Analysts warn that the deployment of the largest US naval fleet in the Middle East could escalate tensions in the Gulf region. Gulf countries have expressed concerns that any military conflict could spark a larger regional war, affecting global oil supplies and regional stability.
