Taliban Attacks in Balochistan and KP Successfully Thwarted

Islamabad: Afghan Taliban launched ground attacks at 16 locations in northern Balochistan, including Qila Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman districts. They also carried out fire raids at 25 other sites targeting Pakistani forces. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that all attacks were successfully repelled under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.
During the confrontations in Balochistan, 27 Taliban militants were killed, and several others were injured. One soldier of FC Balochistan North was martyred, while five others sustained injuries. Minister Tarar praised the bravery and resilience of Pakistani forces defending the motherland. Security sources emphasized the efficiency of coordinated ground and air responses.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Taliban attempted a ground assault at one location and conducted fire raids at 12 points. All attacks were thwarted without any casualties among Pakistani forces. Overnight operations resulted in the deaths of 40 Afghan Taliban fighters in the province. Authorities confirmed that follow-up operations remain ongoing to secure the region.
Pakistani forces responded with effective and destructive counterattacks. The Pakistan Air Force carried out airstrikes in Jalalabad, targeting ammunition depots and drone storage facilities. The strikes inflicted heavy losses on Afghan Taliban and extremist factions. Air operations also successfully targeted the Khogani base in Nangarhar province.

Since the launch of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, Pakistani forces have killed 435 militants and wounded 630 others. Taliban have lost control of 188 checkpoints completely, while Pakistani forces captured 31 enemy posts. Officials highlighted the strategic significance of reclaiming these key positions along the border.
Additionally, 188 Taliban tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed during the operations. Effective airstrikes were carried out at 51 different locations across Afghanistan. Military sources stated that these operations significantly weakened Taliban logistics and operational capabilities in the border regions.
The operation underscores Pakistan’s sustained commitment to neutralizing Taliban aggression and securing national borders. Authorities affirmed that efforts will continue to ensure lasting peace and stability. Officials also warned that any future attempts by militants would be met with decisive force.
