Islamabad court extends interim bail for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has extended the interim bail of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in six cases and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in one case. The decision came during a hearing held on Monday, presided over by Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.
During the proceedings, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer requested her exemption from personal appearance, which the court accepted. However, the court did not decide on her bail application, leaving the matter pending.
In a related development, a junior lawyer informed the court that Imran Khan’s counsel, Salman Safdar, was unable to attend due to prior commitments in another case. As a result, the court adjourned the hearing on the interim bail pleas for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until January 28, 2025.
