A quadcopter attack at a Bajaur cricket ground injured three people and created fear in the area. The incident happened during an active cricket match, which caused panic among players and spectators. Authorities responded quickly and shifted the injured individuals to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Security sources said militants described as “Fitna al-Khawarij” carried out the attack using a quadcopter in Bajaur’s Mamond area. The device dropped explosives on the ground while people were playing. Three individuals suffered injuries, while officials confirmed that no deaths occurred in this specific incident.
Local sources reported that the ground was crowded at the time of the attack. This situation increased the risk of higher casualties. However, the impact remained limited, and emergency response teams reached the site without delay. Law enforcement agencies have tightened security in the area after the attack.
The Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur pointed to a rising pattern of violence in recent months. He stated that mortar shells were fired in Mamond and Salarzai during March and April. Cross-border firing, allegedly linked to Afghan Taliban, resulted in the deaths of three women and six children.

Security officials said that forces are actively responding to threats posed by militant groups. They confirmed that operations are ongoing against Fitna al-Khawarij and Afghan Taliban elements. These actions aim to prevent attacks on civilians and secure public places.
