Pakistan Hajj operation 2026 update

Pakistan’s Hajj operation is progressing smoothly, with more than 52,000 government-sponsored pilgrims now in Saudi Arabia as part of the ongoing pilgrimage arrangements. According to official data, 52,195 pilgrims have reached the Kingdom through 207 special flights, marking the completion of 44 percent of the government Hajj quota.

Out of the total flights, 135 landed in Madinah while 72 arrived in Jeddah, reflecting a well-coordinated transport schedule between Pakistani authorities and Saudi aviation services. In addition to the government scheme, 12,111 pilgrims have also travelled under the private Hajj scheme, further increasing the number of Pakistani worshippers performing the pilgrimage this year.

At present, around 85 percent of the government pilgrims are staying in Makkah, while the remaining 15 percent are in Madinah, where they are completing their initial religious rituals and visiting holy sites.

To ensure smooth facilitation, the Pakistan Hajj Mission has deployed a large support network. A total of 1,090 staff members are working across different sectors, including religious guidance, medical care, and logistical support. This includes 652 khuddam-ul-hujjaj (pilgrim assistants), 255 medical professionals, and 183 officials from the religious affairs department.

In Makkah alone, 791 staff members are actively assisting pilgrims, while 280 are stationed in Madinah and 19 in Jeddah. These teams are responsible for providing round-the-clock assistance, addressing health concerns, and ensuring smooth coordination of travel and accommodation.

To improve mobility between accommodation and the holy sites, 230 buses have been deployed, and a fully operational transport plan is in place to ensure timely and comfortable travel for pilgrims.

Officials say the arrangements are designed to prioritize safety, comfort, and religious convenience, ensuring that Pakistani pilgrims can perform Hajj rituals with ease and dignity.
