Police recover 35kg drugs in Karachi raid, woman arrested

Police in Karachi have recovered more than 35 kilograms of high-quality cannabis during a targeted operation near the Khuda Dad Colony graveyard, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
According to police officials, a woman identified as Nargis alias Malka was arrested during the raid. She is accused of being involved in the supply and distribution of narcotics in upscale areas of the city.
Investigators said the arrested suspect was part of an organised drug trafficking network operating across multiple localities. Officials added that the network is believed to include several other accomplices, who are currently under investigation and being traced by law enforcement agencies.

Police stated that initial questioning suggests the suspect played a key role in coordinating drug distribution channels, while further interrogation is underway to identify the broader structure of the alleged network and its supply sources.
Authorities said efforts are continuing to dismantle the entire network and bring all associated individuals to justice. A formal investigation has been launched under narcotics control laws.
Meanwhile, officials also referenced earlier enforcement actions in the city involving similar drug trafficking cases. In a previous operation in Karachi’s Garden area, police had arrested another alleged female drug dealer identified as Anmol alias Pinky.
In that earlier case, authorities claimed to have recovered weapons, large quantities of cocaine, chemical materials, and other narcotics. Police had described her as a key figure in an organised drug network operating in the city and stated that she was wanted in multiple cases at the time of arrest.
Investigators say both cases highlight the expanding scale of organised drug trafficking networks in urban areas and the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb illegal narcotics trade.
