If state wants dialogue, it should say what it wants in exchange for Imran Khan’s release: Aleema Khan

Islamabad: Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has called on the state to clearly outline the conditions for her brother’s release if it genuinely seeks dialogue.

Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Aleema said: “For two years, we’ve been kept in the dark. “If you want something, tell us—what exactly must Imran Khan give up for his release?”

She claimed that threats are being made against her and other parliamentarians. “They say our cars will be sabotaged—but we will not be intimidated,” she added.

Aleema reiterated that Imran Khan remains resolute in his stance: “He has said he’d rather spend his life in jail than bow down.” She questioned: “What harm has he done that justifies this treatment?”

She also thanked the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court for following through on his promise to schedule Khan’s case.
