Dhaka: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s health has worsened since she was admitted to a hospital on November 23. At 80 years old, Zia is receiving treatment for a lung infection and is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU). Members of her party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), have urged the public to pray for her speedy recovery.
Zia’s condition has been described as critical by her party leaders. Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir, a senior BNP leader, confirmed that doctors are concerned about her health. Zia, who has multiple health issues, including heart, liver, and kidney problems, is reportedly battling several serious conditions. Her past medical history includes a pacemaker and heart stenting procedures.
