Bill Gates announces $1 million in aid for Pakistan’s flood victims

Bill Gates Foundation has announced $1 million in aid for Pakistan’s flood victims, to be delivered through the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The relief package will support nearly 465,000 people in 33 flood-affected districts across all four provinces, focusing on urgent medical care and health facilities.
WHO Pakistan’s representative, Daping Lu, thanked the Gates Foundation for the timely support, saying it would help save lives.
After visiting the affected areas, he warned that climate change is worsening monsoons and natural disasters in Pakistan, stressing the need for stronger preparedness and quicker responses.
