China Develops World’s Fastest Flash Memory

Flash Memory

Chinese scientists have developed a new flash memory device called Pox that can store data at an incredibly fast speed. It saves one bit of data in just 400 picoseconds.

This speed is much faster than today’s fastest computer memory, like RAM. For comparison, one picosecond is a trillionth of a second.

Regular RAM is fast but loses data when the power goes off. Flash memory like USB drives can keep data without power, but they are slower.

Pox combines the best of both — it’s super fast and can store data even without power. This makes it perfect for AI and high-speed computer systems.
