EU wants U.S. trade deal back on track, warns defense

EU leaders expressed relief after U.S. President Donald Trump reversed his threats over Greenland during an emergency summit in Brussels.
The summit followed U.S. warnings of steep tariffs and possible military action to pressure Europe on Greenland. Trump later pulled back.
European officials said the reversal was welcome but stressed they remain vigilant against any future coercion from Washington.
European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said firmness helped convince Trump to drop the threats against the EU. Leaders agreed on caution.
