ICC Announces Record Prize Money for Women’s ODI World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced record prize money for the upcoming Women’s One Day International (ODI) World Cup.

 

According to the ICC, the total prize pool for the tournament has been set at $13.88 million (over PKR 3.92 billion), marking a 297% increase compared to the $3.5 million prize pool of the 2022 Women’s World Cup.

The winning team will receive $4.48 million (over PKR 1.26 billion), while the runner-up will take home $2.24 million (over PKR 630 million).

Teams finishing in fifth and sixth place will receive $700,000 each, and teams in seventh and eighth place will be awarded $280,000 each. Semifinalist teams will earn $1.12 million (over PKR 310 million).

The tournament, featuring eight teams, will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, starting from 30th September.
