Ishaq Dar Reaffirms Pakistan’s Strong Support for Palestine

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Palestine at key international forums in New York. He attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting and a global conference co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and France. At both events, Dar stressed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and justice. He voiced deep concern over Israeli actions in Palestine and urged stronger international support. Pakistan continues to advocate for a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict.
During the OIC session, Dar highlighted the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on peace, justice, and compassion. He linked these values to international principles like those in the UN Charter. He cited the Covenant of Medina and the Treaty of Hudaibiyah as models for peaceful coexistence. These historic events, he said, offer guidance for global diplomacy today. Dar urged Muslim countries to reflect the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings in real-world policies.
Dar also warned about threats to global peace, including Israeli atrocities, the Kashmir conflict, and growing Islamophobia. He called on the OIC to defend the rights of the Muslim Ummah more actively. He stressed that the world needs mercy, tolerance, and unity now more than ever. He suggested a strong partnership between the UN and OIC to address global challenges. Pakistan, he affirmed, is ready to work with the global community for peace.
At the international conference on Palestine, Dar supported the two-state solution and full recognition of Palestine. The conference focused on peaceful solutions and recognized Palestine’s right to statehood. Dar backed the New York Declaration, calling it a step toward lasting peace. He welcomed recent recognitions of Palestine by several Western countries. He also urged others to follow in support of justice and international law.
Dar condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza and demanded an immediate and lasting ceasefire. He stressed the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian aid to Palestinians. Pakistan’s Foreign Office also restated the country’s long-standing support for a sovereign Palestinian state. Since 1988, Pakistan has called for full UN membership for Palestine. Dar’s role at both events showed Pakistan’s firm and ongoing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
