Karachi to experience hot weather in next 24 hours

The meteorological department has forecast hot and humid weather in Karachi over the next 24 hours, with daytime temperatures expected to remain elevated.

According to the latest update from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the city is likely to range between 33°C and 35°C. The minimum temperature recorded earlier was 25°C, indicating relatively warm nighttime conditions as well.

Humidity levels have been reported at 84 percent, contributing to increased discomfort for residents despite moderate wind activity. At present, winds are blowing from the west at a speed of around 8 kilometres per hour, which is providing limited relief from the heat.

Karachi likely to receive rain amid fresh weather system

Meteorologists noted that the combination of high humidity and rising temperatures may make the weather feel warmer than the actual recorded figures. Citizens, particularly those working outdoors, have been advised to take precautionary measures, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours.

The department also indicated that no significant rainfall activity is expected in the immediate forecast period, meaning the prevailing warm conditions are likely to continue. Weather experts said such conditions are typical for the season in coastal areas, especially when humidity levels remain high.

Residents have been advised to follow regular weather updates and take necessary precautions, especially vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.
