Lahore on High Alert After Islamabad Suicide Blast

Lahore authorities have raised security following the deadly suicide blast in Islamabad on Thursday. Officials fear further attacks. They warned citizens to remain vigilant and follow police instructions at all times.

According to Lahore CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, special security arrangements were made at Imambargahs, mosques, and other religious sites. He instructed police to ensure strict protection at public places and busy markets.

Surveillance has been tightened at city entry and exit points to prevent threats. Supervisory officers are actively monitoring hotspots, and police teams patrol high-risk areas continuously.

The Safe City Authority’s camera network will continue monitoring roads and sensitive locations. Citizens were urged to report suspicious activity immediately to police by calling 15 or visiting the nearest police station.

The Islamabad suicide bombing during Friday prayers killed 32 people and injured over 170 others. Authorities are on high alert nationwide to prevent similar attacks and ensure public safety.
