Naseem Shah Fined by ICC for Code Violation

Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has been fined by ICC for breaching the code of conduct during the International League T20 (ILT20). The 22-year-old bowler faced a Level 1 offense penalty after an incident in the final match of the tournament.
Naseem Shah was representing Desert Vipers in the ILT20 Season 4 final against MI Emirates at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He was penalized 10% of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct Article 2.5, which deals with actions that provoke or show disrespect to the batter after dismissal.
The controversy occurred in the 11th over when MI Emirates captain Kieron Pollard defended a ball, which came back toward Naseem Shah. Shah picked up the ball and looked at Pollard with a smile, which sparked a verbal exchange between the two players. Both got close, and Pollard appeared visibly angry while Shah responded, prompting intervention from umpires and teammates to calm the situation.

Later in the 16th over, Naseem Shah dismissed Pollard, seemingly taking revenge for the earlier incident. Despite the tension, Desert Vipers went on to win the final by 46 runs, securing their first ILT20 title.
