Opposition Protest

The opposition-led protest in Islamabad has entered its third day over the issue of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s transfer to a hospital for medical treatment.

Protesters have staged sit-ins at Parliament House, Parliament Lodges, and KP House, while Constitution Avenue remains completely blocked.

Leaders of the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan stated that the sit-in will continue until Imran Khan is shifted to Al-Shifa Eye Hospital.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that no medical treatment should begin in the absence of Khan’s personal doctors.

Meanwhile, the government’s medical panel failed to visit Adiala Jail between Saturday and Sunday night, delaying the medical examination process.

Officials said that a decision regarding his hospital transfer will be made in light of the medical board’s recommendations. The panel includes Dr. Amjad and Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed authorities to submit a complete medical report on Imran Khan before February 16, raising expectations of significant developments in the case.
