Pakistan to Brief Political Leaders on National Security Amid Rising Tensions with India

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar and DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry will provide an important briefing to the leaders of political parties today regarding the national security situation.
According to the Ministry of Information, the purpose of this briefing is to inform the political leaders of the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions and their potential implications. Participants will be briefed on Pakistan’s defence readiness, diplomatic efforts, and the state’s stance on key issues. This briefing is a crucial step in strengthening national unity and cohesion in light of the current global situation.
The Ministry of Information further stated that the briefing will provide political leaders with detailed insights into the military’s preparedness and the current defence strategy, ensuring that all parties align on a unified national stance to effectively address the border tensions.
Meanwhile, former President Asif Ali Zardari has called for a session of the National Assembly on Monday, where discussions regarding the India-Pakistan tensions and their possible effects will likely take place.
