PSF invites students for Asian Science Camp

The Pakistan Science Foundation has invited applications from young science students across Pakistan to participate in the Asian Science Camp 2026, scheduled to take place from August 2 to 8 at the University of Hong Kong.

According to official sources, the foundation will sponsor a team of five students selected through a competitive process. The camp is an annual international event that provides a platform for students to interact with leading scientists, share ideas, and present scientific demonstrations.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit industrial sites, research centres, laboratories, and universities, offering valuable exposure to real-world scientific applications and innovations.

The programme is open to male and female students aged between 17 and 22 years as of July 31. Eligible candidates include those currently studying in grades 11 and 12, as well as students in their first or second semester at public or private universities. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.

The selection process will be conducted in two stages. Initially, shortlisted candidates will appear for a written test in major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Peshawar. Successful candidates will then be invited for final interviews in Islamabad.

Officials stated that no travel or daily allowance will be provided for the test or interview stages. Applications must be submitted in hard copy to the PSF headquarters in Islamabad, clearly marked for the competition.

The deadline for submission has been extended to April 25. Authorities emphasised that incomplete applications will not be entertained, urging students to apply promptly for this international opportunity.
