PSL 11: Islamabad United Cruise to Easy 7-Wicket Victory

In the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Islamabad United secured a comfortable 7-wicket win against Rawalpindies in Lahore. The match showcased a dominant performance by Islamabad in both bowling and batting.
After winning the toss at Gaddafi Stadium, Islamabad United chose to field first, inviting Rawalpindies to bat. Rawalpindies posted a total of 156 for 7 in their 20 overs, with Kamran Ghulam scoring 50 and Diyan Forrester adding 44 runs.
Other contributions came from Mohammad Rizwan (2), Daryl Mitchell (19), and Abdullah Fazal (23). Islamabad’s bowlers, Richard Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Irshad, took two wickets each to restrict the opposition.
In response, Islamabad United chased down the 157-run target comfortably in just 15 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Sameer Minhas starred with a brilliant 70 off 36 balls, while Haider Ali (26) and Mark Chapman (24 not out) ensured an easy finish. The win marked Islamabad United’s second victory in the tournament, placing them second on the points table behind Karachi Kings.
