Sindh Government to Distribute Free Pink Scooters to Women

Karachi: The Sindh government has announced it will begin distributing free pink electric scooters to women within this week. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The session reviewed the details of the Pink Scooters Program before moving toward implementation. The initiative is aimed at supporting working women and female students across the province. Authorities say the project is ready to roll out without further delay.
Sharjeel Memon called the scheme a revolutionary step for women’s mobility and independence in Sindh. He said the electric scooters will ease the daily travel challenges faced by women. He urged working women and students to take full advantage of this opportunity. The minister emphasized that the program will improve access to education and employment. He also stated that it will reduce dependence on public transport.
The program reflects the Sindh government’s continued commitment to women’s empowerment and equality. Sharjeel Memon said women deserve equal opportunities in all areas of life. He highlighted that mobility is a key factor in achieving that goal. The scooters will help women move freely and safely in urban areas. The initiative is expected to boost confidence and participation among women in public spaces.
Earlier, the government revealed plans to introduce Pakistan’s first electric pink scooter scheme. It specifically targets the needs of female commuters in congested cities. The move was widely praised by social activists and women’s rights groups. Many see it as a long-overdue step toward practical support for women. Now, with the distribution phase beginning, the project will enter a new chapter.
This pink scooter initiative is part of a broader effort to support gender equality in Sindh. The government plans to launch more programs focused on education, employment, and health for women. Sharjeel Memon reaffirmed that empowering women remains a top priority for the provincial leadership. With this latest initiative, Sindh is setting a positive example for other regions to follow.
