Syra Yousuf Says Co-Parenting With Ex-Husband Required Sacrificing Ego

Pakistani actress and model Syra Yousuf revealed that co-parenting with her ex-husband Shahroz Sabzwari required her to sacrifice her ego. She shared her thoughts during a recent conversation on Sanam Jung’s podcast. According to her, raising their daughter Nooreh together demanded both physical and emotional strength.
Syra explained that despite separation, parenting together meant putting the child first. She said the experience taught her to think beyond herself. She also stressed that children need both parents to be involved, even if the marriage does not survive.
During the podcast, Syra was asked about a viral Valentine’s Day picture. The photo showed her with daughter Nooreh, Shahroz, Sadaf Kanwal’s daughter Zahra, and her niece. Fans had praised her positive attitude after the image circulated widely.
Syra responded by saying Zahra is her daughter’s sister, and that was enough reason for her acceptance. She said when it comes to Nooreh, she never thinks about herself. Her priority always remains the well-being of her daughter.
The actress emphasised that personal feelings must not interfere with children’s happiness. She said maturity in such situations comes from focusing on the child’s needs, not one’s ego. According to her, this approach keeps the family environment balanced and supportive.
Syra and Shahroz married in 2012 but divorced in 2020. Shahroz later married model Sadaf Kanwal, and the couple now have a daughter, Zahra. Syra continues to co-parent Nooreh with Shahroz, ensuring the child grows with love and care.
