Transport operations in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been significantly disrupted due to security concerns, as authorities have suspended metro bus services along with private, public, and goods transport until further notice.

According to the district administration, all types of transport have been restricted in both cities, and citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel. Officials stated that these precautionary measures are aimed at ensuring public safety.

The metro bus administration also issued an update, confirming that service from PIMS Station to Pak Secretariat has been completely halted. However, limited service continues from Saddar Station to Kacheri.

Meanwhile, traffic police have released a detailed traffic management plan to guide commuters. Authorities confirmed that the Red Zone and its extended areas are fully sealed, with no entry allowed for any type of vehicle.

Police further stated that the Expressway from Korral to Zero Point has been closed for all traffic. Additionally, traffic flow on Srinagar Highway may be suspended at different intervals depending on the situation.

Heavy traffic entering Islamabad from any route has been completely restricted. Transport owners have been advised to avoid traveling toward the capital during this period to prevent inconvenience.

Residents are strongly encouraged to follow the alternative traffic routes and comply with the issued traffic plan to ensure smooth movement and avoid delays.
