Trump Announces Historic Peace Agreement Between Hamas and Israel
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a landmark peace agreement between Hamas and Israel, calling it a “major step toward lasting peace in the Middle East.”

According to President Trump, the deal ensures the immediate release of all hostages and guarantees fair treatment for both parties.

The historic accord includes a permanent ceasefire, exchange of hostages and prisoners, reconstruction of Gaza, and unhindered humanitarian and trade aid to the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the deal as a “political, moral, and national victory,” extending special thanks to the U.S. president for his role in brokering the agreement.

Meanwhile, Hamas urged the guarantor countries — the U.S., Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt — to ensure that Israel fully complies with all terms of the agreement. Hamas emphasized that true peace can only be achieved through mutual trust and adherence to the accord.

According to American media reports, the first phase of the deal is expected to begin this weekend, with the exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners. However, President Trump later stated that the release process is likely to commence on Monday.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the peace deal, urging that the prisoner exchange be conducted with dignity and that humanitarian aid to Gaza face no delays. He added that successful implementation of the agreement could pave the way for long-term regional stability.

The peace accord was finalized in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, under the joint mediation of the U.S., Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt, marking what global observers are calling a historic diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East.
